"DAKOTA"

     DAKOTA was born on January 10, 2004.  He is our very first dog and is very, very special to us.  His warm blooded heart is so huge, he makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. 

     Over the years, this handsome young man competed in and won many fun shows and charity event contests where he took home titles as "Prince of the Walk" and "Best Ears" !
  
     We had sooooo much fun meeting and socializing with other people who also enjoyed spending afternoons with their four-legged companions!

     Dakota IS everything we love about the Siberian Husky and more....  He is the reason we have become addicted to this fascinating breed!

     Training is challenging at times but always well worth the time and effort.  He has evolved into a very nice working dog!  Not too many Siberians can (or should I say WILL) do obedience work so I am very happy with Dakota and how far he has come!

     Today we compete in AKC Obedience and Rally Trials.  So far, he has achieved his Rally Novice (RN) Title and his Rally Advanced (RA) title.  We are currently working on his Rally Excellent (RE) title and his Companion Dog (CD) title even though his "Siberian nature" seems to get the best of him in the ring when he is off-lead!  He already earned 1 qualifying score toward his CD title at the SHCA 2009 Nationals in Chattanooga, Tennesee in September!

     We have also tried some sledding for FUN and exercise in the winter time and plan to do more in the years to come!

CH. Jo-Kar's Sierra Snow Angel, CGC
"SIERRA"

     Donnie and I grew up with male dogs.  Donnie had Keeshonds and I had Brittany's.  We were never really sure what it would be like to have our first female..  then Sierra came along and we bonded like I never would have imagined!  When we first brought Sierra home, she stole Dakota's heart.  I still believe he thinks we bought Sierra for HIM!~ They adore each other.

     Sierra was born on June 21, 2006.  I was so very lucky to be blessed with such a promising first show dog!  Everytime we went to a dog show I looked forward to going in the ring with her and having fun!  She has been praised for her beautiful "movement" and side gait in addition to the "type" and "showmanship" that a judge looks for in a Siberian Husky.  She is now an AKC Champion and I had the pleasure of handling her to every point!

     Her temperment is outstanding and I just can't say enough about this extremely loving, caring and beautiful girl that has completely touched and changed our lives!

     In addition to showing in the Conformation ring Sierra has done some Obedience and Rally work as well, earning her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate the week before she finished her Championship!  

     She also worked very well in harness last winter.  We tried her on a two dog team giving sled dog rides to children and she loved it!

     Our most recent exciting news was Sierra's first litter of puppies born on May 15, 2009!  We were blessed with three beautiful puppies.  Two males and one female!  We are so very proud of our first litter and their Wonderful Mom!  You can see them on the Puppies Page!

Snow Angel's Heaven Scent
"NEVAEH"

     Nevaeh is Sierra's daughter and our first bred by puppy!  We are so excited about this lovely girl and the new addition to our "pack" !

   She will be known as SNOW ANGEL'S HEAVEN SCENT, as we feel she was sent directly to us from heaven!   She has been a joy to raise from the day she was born and fell into our arms and with this blessed experience it just feels right to give her this name.  "Nevaeh" is "heaven" spelled backwards, hence her call name! 

     Training is in progress and Nevaeh has already completed a 6 week course of Puppy Agility and earned her AKC Star Puppy Certificate!   In addition, I have already had her in a couple puppy matches, where she won Best Puppy In Show at the Carnation Kennel Club in September 2009!   

     We are now showing in AKC conformation shows in search for our Championship Title.  Nevaeh is currently pointed at 7 months of age!
